How Do I Start?

I was 5, I saw Schumacher and Villeneuve battling it out on the F1 track on TV. That was the first time I got interested in racing. By 8th grade, I started getting into racing simulation games. So, I bought a second-hand steering wheel and started playing "Need for Speed: Most Wanted." My journey from "NFS" to rFactor expanded my exposure to racing sims, and I gradually realized racing was an important part of my life.

After college, I launched a racing sim shop, met a bunch of fellow car fans, and slowly got into RC drifting. My sim racing skills really helped me get the hang of RC drifting fast. Also, I got my hands on my first drift RC - the Kyosho Mini-Z MA020. Even though it's 4WD, its fine design and smooth drifting got me hooked. I straight up made a spot for RC drifting in the shop, turning it into a chill hangout for RC lovers to meet and race often.

Our Story: From Enthusiasts to Innovators

I've got a special thing for 1/28 scale drift cars. They're sleek, tiny, and full of artistry, easy to mess with anytime and take along when heading out. After messing around with various frames from brands like Kyosho, Yokomo, and Tamiya, I decided to design a smaller drift chassis that could fit more mini-scale RC shells. That's how Ark Edge began its journey.

Switching from a hobbyist to a designer wasn't easy. It took me nearly half a year to design the first frame - the AE28U. The design was spot on, but making it was a whole different story. Factory parts couldn't meet my precision needs, then I tried mixing 3D printed nylon with CNC aluminum, but it didn't feel right... From designing the first chassis to getting it to actually drift on the track, it took me 389 days.

After nearly 400 days of relentless trial and error, countless design iterations, and the invaluable feedback from our first wave of users, my personal project blossomed into something much bigger. Turns out, my dream of the ultimate RC drifting experience was shared by many. From this common passion, Ark Edge was born, turning "I" into "we"—a team driven by love for RC drifting and the push for innovation.
